The Milano-Torino, also known as Mi-To is one of the most symbolic cocktails of late nineteenth-century Italy and the forerunner of the more famous Americano and Negroni.
Created at the Camparino bar in Milan back in 1860 by combining the two representative products of the cities of Milan and Turin, namely Campari and Vermouth, respectively.
The traditional recipe uses Punt e Mes, a Vermouth with a small dose of China (based on cinchona bark), very popular at the time.
