Method

    Chop the orange into pieces and whisk until puréed.

    Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl, add the caster sugar, eggs, milk, and seed oil.

    Cut the vanilla pod and extract the seeds, then add them to the mixture.

    Add the orange purée and mix until the mixture is smooth.

    Grease a mould and add the mixture, using a spatula to level it out.

    Put the mould in a ventilated oven preheated to 170° for about 1 hour.

    To check if it is cooked, insert a toothpick: it should come out clean.

    Leave to cool, remove the orange cake from the mould and dust with icing sugar.

1 sachet of chemical yeast

250 g caster sugar

100 g icing sugar

3 eggs

1 orange with edible, thin zest

100 g milk – even vegetable milk

100 g peanut oil

1 vanilla pod
