Simple syrup is a versatile sweetener consisting of water and sugar, used as a basic ingredient in many cocktails. Its liquid consistency allows it to be easily mixed into drinks, ensuring an even sweetness. It can be flavored with spices, herbs or fruit.

    In a small saucepan, mix equal parts sugar and water.

    Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly until the sugar dissolves completely.

    Remove the saucepan from the heat and allow the syrup to cool.

    Strain the syrup through a fine strainer to remove any impurities and pour it into an airtight container.

    Store the syrup in the refrigerator.

You can prepare the simple syrup in advance and store it in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.

Do not cook it for too long, as it may caramelize.

Simple syrup will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 weeks.

Add flavorings such as cinnamon, ginger or mint while cooking for a unique touch.
